At the end of June we had the pleasure to host 13 DGT trainees from Brussels in our beloved Grand Duchy. Again, the weather was in our favour and the visitors fell in love with the beautiful scenery of Luxembourg.
The visitors had the official part of their excursion on Friday afternoon. After a good night’s sleep, we had the chance to meet them while having lunch/brunch in restaurant Vapiano. Many faces were already familiar after our visit to Brussels and we could continue from where our conversations were left off when we hurried to the Trainees’ Conference.
While enjoying tasty pizzas, pasta and desserts, the Brussels trainees were asking about the practicalities of living in Luxembourg and our free-time activities. Especially the price level and the local languages interested them. Afterwards we had a short walk tour in the city centre and admired the view over Grund.
In the end of the day, we decided to enjoy the wonderful weather on Scott’s terrace. Many others had had the same idea, so when we arrived, the terrace was completely full. But luckily, when we were pondering what to do, we got two free tables where we could squeeze ourselves in. Thus the visitors could get a taste of both the local drinks and the local price level. All’s well that ends well.
Special thanks to Carin here in Luxembourg and Synamon in Brussels who planned the programme with me!
