Luxembourgish cuisine might not be world-famous, and in fact, most people wouldn’t even know there is a Luxembourgish cuisine, but the Food & Wine Subcommittee is working hard to turn eating and drinking in Luxembourg into an unforgettable experience for you!
Pun-tastic wine lover Eva, Maltese gourmets Edward and Charles, beer connoisseur Jernej and helpless cookieholic Andrea want to fill your bellies with the best treats and cloud your mind with top beers and wines.
What’s on the menu? Or should you ask what isn’t? This rich bit of Central Europe can offer everything you can dream of in terms of food and drink: Crémant wine from the Moselle valley, a respectable number of national beers and tasty Luxembourgish, French, Belgian and German dishes (no, we don’t mean the funny mix of the Commission canteen!). We intend to taste them all, and you are invited to join us at barbecues, picnics, beer tastings, wine trips… and, of course, Eurodinner!
Events in April:
Cake Stravaganza Is there anything better than an all-you-can-eat buffet? Oh yes. An all-you-can-eat cake buffet! Bakers, put your aprons on! Eaters, pick your spoons and stick them in some sweet, creamy, crispy, chewy, delicious desserts prepared by your fellow trainees. Let them eat cake on April 9th from 17.30 at Jean Monnet Cafeteria. Save the date and keep your ears open for more information coming soon!
Eurodinner You all know what this is: each of us brings a tasty specialty from their country and we all enjoy the mix of unknown flavours and aromas together. Foodie fun guaranteed! Date and place TBD, but probably on the weekend of the 25th of April.
Upcoming: a wine trip to the Moselle, a barbecue, beer tastings and much more.
Eat long and prosper!
